Baby Montoya #2 is a....

To my surprise, we are having a baby boy! We have mostly many girls in our family so it was a pretty good chance it was a girl.  Eric was the first to notice and jumped out of his seat and ran up to the screen pointing!  It was the sweetest thing to see!

How far along: 20 weeks
Total weight gain: 10 lbs
Maternity clothes: Just now starting to venture into maternity  pants because tight pants have to be the most uncomfortable thing when pregnant (especially when you have to pee 24/7)!  For the most part, I am still trying to rock most of my regular clothes but it is just a matter of time.  With Chloe, I did not care what I looked like and rocked Eric’s shirts half the time but with this one, I am trying to not look like a slob and I am actually excited about dressing up my bump!
Stretch marks: Not yet, just the few from when I had Chloe that snuck up after I had her.
Sleep: I cannot complain here, sleeping as much as I can!
Best moment of this week: Feeling the baby kick!  I swear the baby did a back flip in there! Eric also got to feel him kick for the first time the other day.
Miss anything: My boobs not being huge boulders on my chest!  Wine!  Being indigestion free!
Movement: YES!  It is so weird because this baby’s movements feel different than Chloe.  With Chlo, they started as a little butterfly flutter and then progressed to full on movements but with this one, we skipped the flutters!  Eric says he (he is set in his mind it is a boy!) is going to be a UFC fighter!
Food cravings: No cravings but I have been dreaming about the day I can have wine and coffee.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Rarely, Thank you Jesus!!!! Once I got past 12 wks, I felt sooo much better!
Have you started to show yet: Yes, baby is making an appearance this last couple weeks.
Labor signs: No but I am terrified for labor this time!
Belly button in or out: In still and belly button ring still attached!
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy but I do have my moments where I do/say things out of the blue that are quite bitchy!
Looking forward to: Doing the bursary and shopping!

Christmas 2015

Christmas and came and gone and I am kinda sad about it!  We had a great run this holiday though and feeling so blessed to have a holiday filled with love and family.  2015 was a pretty hard one with my mom and aunt's health and being able to spend the holidays with them meant the world.  This year was especially exciting because Chloe really got into and really understood the whole concept of Christmas.  Using Santa to bribe Chloe really came in handy also!  Eric got in pretty late Christmas Eve but just in enough time to bake Santa cookies.

I had to actually wake Eric and Chloe up around 10 am because or they probably would have slept at least another hour! After opening presents, we spent time with family, ate Italian food, and played with Chlo's new toys.

Here are a few extras from our holiday weekend.  We took Chloe to the movies to see The Good Dinosaur for her first time and she surprised the shut out of me. She did sooo good! She was Dec not still but was quiet and just stuffed her face with a whole bag of popcorn!

I hope everyone had an amazing holiday and have a Happy New

Turkey Day

Happy late Thanksgiving!  With all the hard times we have been dealt recently in certain aspects of life, we have so much to be grateful for.  God has really blessed me with so many people in my life that make my life so much better.  I have a hard working man who truly loves me, a healthy daughter who warms my heart and keeps me on my toes, a growing bun in the oven,  and a family who is always there for me.
I didn't get many pics this year and I regret not getting one of my little family.  But here are the ones I did get!

My precious momma and I!
The only pic I got of these two together!  Of course they are playing around as usual!

My Beauty

Chloe is never cooperative  when it comes to taking photos so when she let me take these photos, I took full advantage of it!  I cannot get over how beautiful these pics are and how much personality she has so I had to share!

Halloween 2015

Happy Very Late Halloween!  This year Chloe really got in the Halloween spirit this year just like her momma.  She was all about the "scary houses", pumpkins, and going to the Halloween stores.  We even took her through a little haunted house and watched scary movies and she loved it!  She is at the age where she gets so excited (or cited in her words) about everything so I was looking forward to seeing her reaction this year.  I had a whole family costume planned out (Chloe being Princess Jasmine, me being Abu the mom key, and Eric being Aladdin) like we did the last two years but a mix of pregnancy laziness and some family things going on, it did not happen.  I was really bummed because I adore family costumes but there is always next year....  The only costume that I made sure happened was little Miss Chloe and I ended up just being a monkey and Eric and old man which he oddly embraced!

At first Chlo was going to be Princess Ariel but when I saw this wig,  the Ariel costume and wig that as already bought went out the window!  You can't blame me though when you see how stinking cute she looked!
Trick or Treating with Daddy!  Every single house we stopped at, Chloe had to have a conversation about their pets and what was in their house!
My old man, Princess Jasmine, and I!

A Good Excuse to Not Blog & Life Lately

I cannot believe it has been almost two months since my last post!  I do have an excuse this time though.  We have had so many things going on, the most important though is that we are adding one more little Montoya to our family May 5, 2016.  No fancy and creative announcement this time though for the same reason as my absence.   The “morning” sickness…   Instead of it ending in the morning, it lingered allll day long.  The only thing that was certain after work was a bath and sleep.   Frozen pizza and eating out became a normal and my goal at blogging 2-3 times a week quickly went out the window.   I am so grateful for this moment in our lives but it really was hard and it really makes you get down on yourself for not getting everything done you should. I am finally getting to the point where I feel somewhat like myself and to where I do not want to sleep my life away!  Right now I am 12 weeks and I am happy to say goodbye to the first trimester!!!
I have not been the best picture taker lately because reaching for the camera took too much energy and it is not like we have really been up to a lot lately but I wanted to share a few I did manage to take!

Chlo's first skating experience and she hated it!!!

I am so excited to track this pregnancy on my blog because with Chloe, I did not take many pics pregnant  which I regret.  I can't wait for this belly to start growing even though at 12 weeks, it already is!

Loves & Hates

Leslie with This is for Keeps tagged to share my most loved and hated things!

1.)    Of course my doll baby and Eric
2.)    Potatoes in any form.  I will order French fries and mashed potatoes as my side as restaurants and will dip the fries in the mashed potatoes!
3.)    Converse shoes.
4.)    Baby butts.  I know, creepy but they are so cute!
5.)    Scrapbooking.  Even though I have been too busy and sometimes too lazy to make Chloe’s scrapbook, I love getting crafty!
6.)    I can never get tired of Hillsong’s songs “Oceans” and “Gracious Tempest.”
7.)    Foot rubs
8.)    The weekends.  We live for them in this household.
9.)    Using sugar as an exfoliate.  I always thought I had dry skin but it was really because I was not exfoliating.  I did not want to spend a bunch of money on another product  I would have to keep repurchasing.  I have been using it for a few months and have seen a crazy difference with how smooth my skin is.
10.) Coconut oil.  Use this for my hair, for moisturizer on my face and body, and many more things.

1.)    Bad parkers!  This really gets to me!  A few months ago, it was pouring down raining outside and this you know what parked so close to the driver’s side that I had to climb in on the other side with a two year old.  I was so pissed and I really wonder if they paid any attention to the car seat in the back and took that into consideration.  Ok, I got caught up in a rant!  On to the next one…
2.)    Vacuuming.  Worst job ever
3.)    Laundry.  Self-explanatory.
4.)    Roller Coasters and heights.  I do not run on adrenaline at all!
5.)    Playdoh/Toy YouTube Videos.  Not sure if any other moms are going through this but they have these grown people doing videos of playing with PlayDoh, unboxing toys, and opening surprise eggs with toys in them.   They actually get excited about them too.  Chloe saw one a few months ago and is now obsessed with them!  Eric despises them because really they have no educational value and just make kids want these different toys.  I do give in a lot when she asks for them or she will throw a fit.  I pick my battles on this one!
6.)    Watching how times has flown by since Chloe has been born.
7.)    The stubborn lower stomach fat area.
8.)    Mini toys.  I secretly love them but because they are so cute but not when you step on them or have to clean up a million little ponies off the floor.
9.)    Brushing my teeth.  I obviously do it but I really do hate it!
10.) Waking Chloe up before work.  She HATES waking up when she has not naturally woken up.  It is a struggle every single morning  with her.  She cries and then wants me to carry her all around the house while I am trying to get us ready to leave.

Happy Friday and I tag....

Life Lately

Our life lately has consisted of adjusting to Eric being gone and working way more.  I feel like our life has been shaken up and I have been getting down on myself that I am not adjusting as quickly and gracefully as I would like.  I know it is in my head and that mommy guilt we all get is affecting my feelings.  It is going to take a while to get used to and I have to keep telling myself that I am only human.  But really the guilt just towers over me whether it is guilt for not giving Chloe more attention, not being able to finish everything in a day, not having the motivation to do everything, and not being able to cater to Eric as much I would like.  I have to remember I am not going to check everything off my to do list and I am really am blessed to have a healthy, amazing family and that is all that matters.

Other than sulking a bit in my feelings, I have of course been enjoying life especially when all three of us are together!  We got to spend the weekend together and on Saturday, we went to Oceans and Worlds of Fun which are a water park and theme park.  Boy, it was tiring but was so fun!  We went with Eric's sister and her family.  First we went to the water park and then the theme park.  Chloe loved the water as usual.  We were done around 5 pm and then went to the theme park.  Now, I do not ride roller coasters because not only am I afraid of heights, I do not trust them at all.  Eric and his sister went on this roller coaster that brings you up 301 feet in the air and then just spins at the top and ended up getting stuck at the top for like 7 minutes!  I was freaking out inside but they finally brought them down and Eric acted like nothing happened!  They have Planet Snoopy where all the kids that are 48 in and under can go to ride mini coasters and she loved that also.  I rode a few with her and there was two that actually scared me!  Yes, I am a woos!

I have also found some makeup products I really and enjoying.  I got this liquid eyeliner from Sephora.  It is the Kat Von D tattoo liner and it is amazing especially for someone who has to usually get waterproof mascara!  It was around $18 but I think on certain makeup items, it is worth it to spend the extra money.
I also got this about a month ago.  I really wanted to get a powder for my concealer that has a brightening effect to it  and I found Bare Minerals Well Rested. A little goes a long way and I love the how bright it makes my under eye area.
Chloe has been saying some really funny things lately and has been cracking us up.  One of the latest things is, "You my best friend Mommy!" or the occasionally, "You not my friend anymore!" when she is mad at you.  She is also obsessed with "Watch me"  which is all over the radio.  Here are some videos of her dancing to it.

I know that was random but it felt good to type it all out!

A Weekend Fit for a Princess

Last weekend was a bummer since Eric got called into work all weekend but we made up for it this weekend!  We did so much and spent too much but it was worth it.  Eric was gone Friday night and was back around 4 or 5 pm on Saturday.  Chloe and I went to Build A Bear while we waited for Eric to get home.  I knew I was going to spend a pretty penny but I couldn't believe how much all the little extras were.  The whole experience for Chloe was exciting to see though.  I am all about experience and am willing to pay so Chloe can have these little experiences and memories.  We will do it again for sure but damn is it expensive.  I am more to blame because we had to have the skates and of course we needed two sets of shoes and two sets of skates.  Of course Chloe had to have the pony and not one of the regular bears so next time, we will pick a regular bear and spend more on the outfits and all the little extras.  She wanted to take the pony EVERYWHERE with us so money well spent!
When Eric got home, we went to eat and then decided to go to the Platte County Fair.  Little Chlo lived for the rides.  With that being said, how the hell does a family of more than three go to these things without spending an arm and a leg?!  Again, it is all about the experience but it really is crazy how much activities are now days.  Chloe was a riot, not only did she play her little heart out, when we got home around 11 pm, we played some more.
We let Daddy sleep in Sunday which was well deserved and Chloe and I got ready for the day.  I have really been slacking with church lately so I had a little church sesh while I got ready and listened to a Joyce Meyer sermon and then jammed/praised to some Hillsong.  I listen to their song "Oceans" and "Gracious Tempest" basically everyday, and Sunday was no different!  We made Eric get up around noon and headed out to get some lunch.  Chloe tore up some cheese dip and chips and you know you are eating with a toddler when there are a million pieces of chips stuck in the dip!  And the girl had the nerve to get mad when it was all gone!
Where we live, they build a Aquarium and Lego Land right next to each other a few years ago and you can buy a combo pack to go to both so we ended up doing that.  We have been to the aquarium before but this was our first time going to Lego Land and it was waaaay better than the aquarium.  Chloe def agreed!  I am pretty sure that is where we are going to do her third birthday party.

I am not gonna lie, Chloe got the royal treatment when it came to fun this weekend and I do not feel bad that we over indulging this weekend.  I did not cook one meal this weekend unless you count microwave pancakes.  I did not clean one piece of clothing or dish.  I drank too much coffee and we ate out too much, hell we even ordered appetizers at every dinner.  We lived it up at least our version of living it up!  We work hard and do not get nearly as much time together as we like so we took advantage of our time together!

Sunday Funday?

Our Sunday was kind of a sad one!  We woke up too late to go to church so that was the first bummer.  We did sleep until 10 am though which was amazing!  Eric was gone at a meeting at work when we woke up so I worked on getting  us ready for the day.  Momma was running slow to say the least but once Eric got home with my coffee in hand, I sped it up a bit and we went to go have lunch.  By the time we got seated, ordered our appetizer, and got our drinks, who calls but Eric's work calling him in.  We were out as quick as we came in!  I know it annoyed Eric so I tried to be positive but it did put a damper on our Sunday.  So, we rushed back home eating our baked potato skins in the car...  And then there was two!
We headed to Walmart and the grocery store and got our shopping out the way.  I took little miss to lay her down and she was a sad mess over this nap.  After 5 minutes, she was out!  She slept with her new little Pig stuffed animal the whole time and it was the sweetest thing!
Once she woke up, we  watched toons and had a little photo session while dinner simmered on the stove.  She is getting more and more animated bu the day and it is so funny to watch her be so quirky and silly.  She cracks me up with what comes out of her mouth and the face expressions this child makes it so stinking funny!
So, that is what our Sunday consisted of.  It was not the best Sunday in the books but I cannot complain because I got to spend it with my baby girl.  These days, I don't let things ruin my days so we just kept trucking and tried to make the best of one of the many days that don't go as planned!

Summer Living

Summer has been good to us aside from all the damn rain we have had.  It has felt like Spring around here and then this week all of a sudden the weather wants to act like summer on steroids and the moisture from the rain and the heat is not a good mix.  Other than that, we have really enjoyed ourselves in Summer 2015.  We do not really get out and do much except for the weekends with the way our schedules have gone over the last couple months with Eric's new job but we definitely make up for it when we get the chance.  I wanted to share some of our summer so far...

There hasn't been as much sun as we would like with all the rain but we have had our fair share of water so far.  And when we can't play in the sun, we play in the rain...

This is from the beginning of summer on one of those rainy nights.  I was so excited for summer to start and be able to get to the pool but that def wasn't happening so I decided to take Chloe out in her little panties to play in the rain!  Eric took some pics and then started in with the, "She is gonna get sick, come inside."  I guess someone has to be an adult in this relationship!
We also indulged in a couple "school night" sleepovers.  Technically it was not a school night since the girls are on summer break but  it was still a work night for  us.  Things like brownie making, dancing, Netflix, were among the many activities we indulged in.
Lots of outside activities like duck feeding, playing at the park, flower picking, and more!

With everything we have done, I haven't even put a dent in my summer bucket list.  I plan on getting some things checked off this week/weekend because I really want to experience most of the activities on that list with Chloe.
